Talent Network profiles are anonymous to protect candidate privacy. Many candidates are employed and exploring quietly, so they decide which companies learn who they are. You see enough to judge the fit, and they choose when to share their identity.
What's hidden and what you can see
Hidden until they agree to talk with you:
- Name and photo
- Current and past employer names
- School names
- LinkedIn profile, email and phone number
- Résumé
Visible on every profile:
- Current and past job titles, with dates
- Years of experience
- Skills, including any verified skills
- Required salary and location
- Preferred locations and the job titles they want
- Work preferences (remote, hybrid or on-site)
- Education level
- Whether they're Actively Looking or Passively Looking
Hidden details show as a blur or a lock icon.
How a profile becomes visible to you
There are two ways:
- They accept your introduction request. Their name, details and contact information appear, and you can chat with them. Requesting an introduction uses 1 credit. See Requesting an intro.
- They say they're interested in one of your jobs, and you unlock them. When you share a job with the Talent Network, candidates who qualify can review it. If someone says they're interested, you can unlock their profile for 1 credit. See Unlocking a profile.
Once a profile is visible to your company, it stays visible to everyone on your team, including on later jobs.
Visibility is per company
A candidate who connects with your company is revealed to your company only. Every other company still sees them anonymously, and that works the same way for you.
If a candidate passes
If a candidate declines your introduction request, their profile stays anonymous. See Requesting an intro for when you can ask again.
Who isn't in the Talent Network
Current and former employees of your company are left out of your Talent Network, and so are candidates who have blocked your company. Candidates can also hide their profile from the Talent Network at any time.
