Talent Ticker alerts your team when a candidate who matches your search joins Cherrypicker or starts actively looking. Creating and running a Talent Ticker is free. Profiles stay anonymous until a candidate accepts your introduction request.
How to create a Talent Ticker
- Click Talent Ticker in the sidebar, then New Talent Ticker.
- Give it a Talent Ticker name. Only your team sees it.
- Add one or more Job titles. Equivalent titles at the same level are matched too.
- Under Where, enter one or more cities with a search radius for each. Leave it empty for remote roles.
- Add any of the optional filters: Years of experience, Max salary, Work type, Certifications and Skills.
- Click Create Talent Ticker.
Your new Talent Ticker also checks the last 30 days, so you may see matches right away.
Who it matches
A candidate appears when they join Cherrypicker or switch to Actively Looking, and they've chosen to let companies be alerted. That's why you may see more people when browsing the Talent Network than in your Talent Ticker.
You'll never be matched with your own current or former employees, or with candidates who have blocked your company.
What you see
The page lists your team's Talent Tickers on the left and recent matches on the right. Click All Talent Tickers or a single one to change the list.
Each match shows the job title, years of experience, salary requirement, location, work type and skills, with no name or employer. A label tells you why they appeared: Just joined or Now Actively Looking.
Requesting an intro
Click Request Intro on a match. You can add a job and a note. It costs 1 credit, or it's free if your company had an introduction with them in the last 12 months. See Requesting an intro.
The match then shows Intro requested, Connected or Declined. Click Connected to open the chat.
Alerts and emails
- In-app alerts: new matches appear in Notifications and as a badge on Talent Ticker in the sidebar.
- My email digest: each person chooses Daily (10 AM), Weekly (Mondays), Off or Not following for each Talent Ticker. You'll get at most one digest email a day, covering everything you follow, and only when there's something new. Digests are anonymous too.
Everyone on your team can see your company's Talent Tickers and follow them for their own digest. Whoever creates a Talent Ticker follows it with a daily digest.
Turning it off, editing and deleting
Use the Ticker on switch to pause a Talent Ticker. To change or remove one, click its menu and choose Edit or rename or Delete. Only the person who created it, or a company admin or owner, can do this.
Deleting removes its alerts and matches for your whole team. Introductions you already requested aren't affected.
How many you can run
With paid credits in your account, you can run as many as you like. Without paid credits, you can run 2 at a time, and promo credits don't change this. Paused ones don't count.
If your paid credits run out, your 2 newest stay on and the rest are Locked. Nothing is deleted. Pause one that's on to switch a locked one on, or buy credits to unlock them all.
