Requesting an intro

Updated November 4, 2026

An introduction request asks an anonymous Talent Network candidate whether they'd like to connect with your company. It uses 1 credit, charged when you send the request.

How to request an introduction

  1. Go to Talent Network and find a candidate.
  2. Click Request an Introduction in their row, or at the top of their profile.
  3. Optional: under Job Project (optional), pick the job you're hiring for, or leave it on No specific job.
  4. Optional: write a note under Your Note. Candidates are more likely to accept a request with a personal note. Use template fills in a starting point.
  5. Click Confirm Request.

The button changes to Pending Introduction while you wait for an answer.

To ask several candidates at once, tick their boxes, click Request Introduction, optionally pick a job, add a shared note, and click Send All Requests. The window shows the total cost before you send.

What the candidate sees

They're notified in Cherrypicker and by email, and see your request with your company name, your note, and the job if you picked one. They choose whether to accept.

If they accept

  • You're notified.
  • Their name, full profile and contact details appear.
  • Chat opens so you can message them.
  • They move to Interested in My Candidates and on your Tracker.

They stay visible to your company from then on.

If they pass

Their profile stays anonymous and they move to Not Interested on your Tracker. You can usually send another request after 30 days, and the button shows Available in Nd until then. If they said they'd like to hear about other roles at your company, you can request an introduction for a different role right away. If they said they don't want to hear from your company, you won't be able to send another request.

Cost

  • A new request uses 1 credit. The request window shows the cost before you send.
  • It's free if you've already unlocked the candidate, or if your company had an introduction with them in the last 12 months.
  • If your account has promotional credits, those are used first.
  • Credits aren't refunded if a candidate passes or doesn't respond.

Already interested in one of your jobs?

If a candidate shows Interested · Unlock candidate, they've already said yes to one of your jobs, so there's nothing to request. Unlock their profile instead. See Unlocking a profile.
