Cherrypicker

The RPO alternative

Outsource your recruiting function stateside.

Recruiting process outsourcing asks you to hand over part of your recruiting function to what is traditionally an offshore partner. Cherrypicker keeps your team in control while adding US-based outbound recruiting capacity to the roles that need it. Our Pay-As-You-Go model remains flexible as your hiring needs change.

RPO is built for sourcing lists, not for activating talent.

Recruiting process outsourcing does one thing very well - tackling high volume sourcing projects that weigh down an internal team.

However, the gap shows up at the next step. Building a target candidate list is not the same as getting strong passive candidates to reply. Most RPO delivery happens offshore, and that distance from your market shows in the outreach: messages that read as generic, that miss the context of the role, and that the best candidates scroll past. The people you most want to reach are the ones least likely to respond to something that does not sound like it came from someone who understands their world.

That is the part Cherrypicker takes on. Your recruiting function stays in-house, and our US-based team handles the outreach that turns a sourcing list into candidates who are genuinely interested in your role.

Pay-As-You-Go, when you need it most

Creating a company account is free. You only need to purchase Cherrypicker credits when you are ready to recruit candidates. Credit packages start at $1,500 for 300, one credit recruits one candidate, and a typical role fills within about 300 candidates. Credits are valid for 12 months and can be shared across your whole team.

Need help sourcing? Our sourcing team can build the target candidate list as an optional add on for $1,000 per role. There is no retainer, no minimum term and no placement fee when you hire, so a quiet hiring month costs you nothing.

Questions teams ask about RPO

When does a traditional RPO make more sense?
If you are hiring at high volume and need a large sourcing operation stood up quickly, an RPO can carry that load. That is what the model is built for. Cherrypicker is the better fit when the challenge is getting strong passive candidates to reply, and when you want your team to stay in control of the hiring process.
Is Cherrypicker an RPO?
Not in the traditional sense. A typical RPO takes over part of your recruiting function on a monthly retainer and runs it with their own team, frequently delivered offshore. Cherrypicker is a platform, so your recruiting function remains in-house and we add the additional recruiting muscle on top of it. If you would rather have the work done for you, our US-based sourcing team can build the target candidate list and run the campaign, which covers the same ground an RPO would on sourcing and outreach, with no retainer and no placement fee.
Is there a contract or a minimum commitment?
No. No contract, no minimum term and no retainer. Creating a company account is free and you buy credits when you have a role to fill. Credits are valid for 12 months and can be shared across your whole team.
Is your recruiting team based in the US?
Yes. Cherrypicker is a US-based company, and so is the sourcing team building your candidate lists and running your campaigns. That matters most at the outreach stage. Senior candidates can tell when the person reaching out does not understand their market.
What does it cost compared to an RPO retainer?
An RPO bills you every month whether you are hiring or not. Cherrypicker only charges when you recruit. Credit packages start at $1,500 for 300 credits, one credit recruits one candidate, and a typical role fills within about 300 candidates. Need the list built for you? That is an optional $1,000 per role.
Can Cherrypicker handle high volume hiring?
Yes. Credits sit at the company level, so your whole team can run campaigns for different roles at the same time out of the same pool. Scaling up just means buying more credits. Scaling back down costs you nothing, which is the part a retainer cannot do.
Will this replace my internal recruiting team?
No, and it is not built to. Cherrypicker gives your team more recruiting capacity by running outbound campaigns on your behalf, which frees them for high value work such as employer branding, improving the candidate experience and closing offers. Your team remains in control of the entire hiring process.
What kinds of roles do you recruit for?
Corporate roles across accounting, finance, tax, financial services, real estate, legal, human resources, operations and office support. If it is a corporate hire, it is in scope.
