You create a job from My Jobs by clicking Create New Job Project, or from the Dashboard by clicking New Job. Creating a job is free, and anyone on your team can do it.
Step 1: Describe the role
On the Create a New Job screen, you have two options:
- Let AI fill it in. Type a few lines about the role, paste your job description, or click Upload JD to add a PDF, Word (.docx), or text file up to 5MB. Then click Auto-fill with AI. Auto-fill is available once your company has credits, and each person can use it up to 10 times an hour.
- Fill it in yourself. Click Skip and fill in manually (under the box) to go straight to the form.
If you used auto-fill, check what it pulled out, then click Continue to Job Details.
Step 2: Fill in the job details
Only Job Title and Job Function are required. The rest helps candidates decide and helps us find the right people:
- Industry and Work Type (Remote, Hybrid, In-Office). Pick every work type you'd accept; more than one widens who can see the role.
- Location. You can add more than one, each with how far away candidates can be. Pick from the suggestions so we place it accurately.
- Years of Experience. This is a guide, not a hard filter. Candidates slightly outside the range can still show up if the rest of their profile fits.
- Salary Range (annual base salary). Candidates see the range, and we compare it with the minimum salary each candidate told us they'd consider.
- Skills, chosen from our skills library (see below).
- Job Description, shown to candidates exactly as you write it.
- Benefits & Perks, pre-filled from your company profile.
When AI filled a field, it's marked with an AI badge so you can double-check it.
Must-haves and nice-to-haves
Your skills are split into two lists:
- Must-haves are a hard filter. Only candidates with every one of them can see the role, so keep this to your true dealbreakers. Most roles need one or two.
- Nice-to-haves don't filter anyone out. We show the closest fits first.
New skills, including ones auto-fill pulls out, start as nice-to-haves. Click the arrow on a skill to move it between the two lists. Only skills from our library can be used, so if yours isn't there, pick the closest match.
Step 3: Choose who sees it
- Distribute to Cherrypicker Talent Network is on by default and free. Candidates in our network who qualify get the job details to review. When one of them shows interest, you use 1 credit to reveal who they are and start talking.
- Confidential search describes your company by its industry instead of naming it in outreach emails and job alerts. Expect fewer replies, since candidates respond more when they know who's hiring. Candidates still see your company name on the opportunity page before they say they're interested. If you turn this on, keep your company name out of the job description.
Step 4: Create it
Click Create Job. Your new job appears in My Jobs.
