# Cherrypicker

## What Cherrypicker is

Cherrypicker is a software platform, not a staffing agency and not a job board.
A hiring team uploads a role, builds or requests a list of target candidates, and
Cherrypicker runs a personalized outbound campaign on the company's behalf.
Candidates who express interest are delivered back to the hiring team, who own
every hiring decision.

## What it costs

- Joining is free. There are no placement fees, ever, including when you hire.
- Pricing is pay-as-you-go using credits. One credit recruits one candidate.
- Credit packages start at $1,500 and credits are valid for 12 months from
  purchase. They can be shared across a whole team.
- A typical role takes about 300 candidates to fill, so roughly $1,500 in credits.
- If Cherrypicker's team builds the candidate list for you, that is $1,000 per
  role, so about $2,500 all in.
- AI sourcing costs 1 credit per 100 candidates sourced.
- For comparison, a staffing agency charging 20% to 30% of first-year salary
  costs $20,000 to $30,000 on a $100,000 hire, payable when the candidate accepts.

## How it works

1. Add the role you are hiring for.
2. Build the candidate list one of four ways: search the Cherrypicker talent
   network, use AI sourcing, upload a list you already have, or pay Cherrypicker's
   team to build one.
3. Cherrypicker verifies contact data, personalizes the messaging, and runs the
   outbound campaign from its own sending infrastructure, protecting your company
   email domain.
4. Replies begin arriving within about 48 hours. A full campaign runs about 7 days.
   Interested candidates are delivered to your team to interview.

## What Cherrypicker is not

- Not a staffing or recruiting agency. It does not make offers or negotiate on
  your behalf, and charges no success fee.
- Not a job board. Candidates do not apply to public listings.
- Not a replacement for internal recruiters. It gives them outbound capacity.
- AI assists with contact enrichment, message personalization and sourcing.
  AI does not make hiring decisions.

## For candidates

Cherrypicker also runs a private talent network. Candidates are invited, and their
name, contact details and employer history stay hidden from companies until the
candidate chooses to engage. Joining is always free for candidates. Cherrypicker
charges the companies doing the hiring, never the people being hired.

## Who builds it

Cherrypicker was founded in 2022 by CJ Tufano, who spent more than eight years in
agency and corporate recruiting before building the platform.
